Dual wheels are not always an option due to vehicle width restrictions. The Zuidberg-Westtrack system affects vehicle width very little or not at all, while still providing maximum flotation.
The Zuidberg-Westtrack four-track system enables tractors to use full power any time. Unlike with a two-track tractor, there’s no need to block or slow down a track to make a turn. All tractor power is transmitted forward, and since it turns as though it were on wheels, there is a minimum of soil disturbance after making turns.
The Zuidberg-Westtrack drive system can be equipped with suspended roller units, allowing the tracks of a machine to hug the terrain, resulting in optimum comfort and excellent stability.
Zuidberg-Westtrack minimizes soil compaction by significant reduction of the pressure exerted on the ground by tractors and combine harvesters. The less soil gets compacted, the better its moisture and air supply resulting in improved yeilds in crops and harvests. Due to the large Zuidberg-Westtrack footprint, the track system enables operation whenever decided by the operator. This results in a more optimum harvest by operating at the right time, not at a time dictated by wet ground conditions Our track drive systems consumes less fuel compared to conventional wheels. On dry, hard soil, fuel saving of almost 4% is possible. For wet, muddy soil, where our tracks are most effective, this percentage increases exponentially. Zuidberg-Westtrack also helps to save precious time in most agricultural operations. When no longer getting stuck or leaving deep ruts, the number of passes needed to prepare the soil for seeding can be reduced.
